Why Did I Paint This?

Within Looking out is an 24 x 26 Acrylic Painting.  While traveling through New Mexico I took a photo of this cave while looking out of it.  I felt an energy about it and a feeling of long ago.   I was in one of my more playful moods when I made the decision to create this painting.  I decided it would be fun to see what would happen if I painted while listening to nature music.   This was one of the first times that I work with the acrylic paints  while using direct colours instead of working with many of the different muted tones.  While doing this painting I found myself dancing while rethinking any changes I wanted to make to it.  I also found myself "feeling" "hearing" drums while doing this.  I had a wonderful time creating it.  This painting now hangs in the home of one of my friends and is unavalable.
